Appian Staffing

Renvric provides Appian specialists for process and case-management work: solution architects, developers, business analysts, integration engineers and testers. Each person is assessed against the role, you interview and approve, and daily work follows your backlog, with overlap hours agreed between your team and our offices in San Diego and Punjab.

Appian roles and what each one does

01

Solution architect

Owns record, process and integration design, security model and standards, and reviews the work of others.

02

Appian developer

Builds process models, interfaces, expression rules, records and integrations.

03

Integration engineer

Designs and tests connected systems, web APIs and error handling with core systems.

04

Business analyst

Turns process knowledge into cases, rules and acceptance criteria that developers can build and testers can check.

05

Test analyst

Plans and runs functional, regression and acceptance tests, including expression rule test cases.

06

Platform or release lead

Manages environments, packages and release schedules for a portfolio of applications.

02

How the engagement can be set up

  • Project-based team: Renvric takes on a bounded application and staffs the roles needed to deliver it.
  • Dedicated team: a stable group maintains and extends your Appian portfolio against a shared roadmap.
  • Staff augmentation: one or more specialists join your existing team under your management.
  • Time and materials: used where the amount of work cannot be fixed, with regular visibility of effort.

03

How we assess Appian candidates

  • Start with a written role profile that lists responsibilities, integration needs and working style.
  • Screen for hands-on experience with process models, records and interfaces rather than general low-code familiarity.
  • Hold a technical discussion about practical decisions: when to sync a record type, how to avoid heavy queries, how to structure reusable objects.
  • Set a short design or review exercise for architect and senior developer roles.
  • Check communication and ability to work with process owners, since analysis is part of the job.
  • Share profiles with you for interview, and proceed only after your approval.
04

What the first weeks look like

Onboarding begins with environment access, a walkthrough of existing applications and standards, and an introduction to the process owners. A suitable first task is a reviewed, bounded change, such as refactoring an interface or adding a record type, that shows how the person works within your conventions. We ask for a checkpoint with your lead after the first fortnight, so concerns are raised while changes are easy.

05

Collaboration across time zones

Team members based in Punjab and San Diego allow different overlap patterns. For US clients, an agreed window usually covers stand-up, design questions and demonstrations, and the remaining hours go to build and test work documented for the next day. Handover notes, pull-request style object reviews and a shared defect list keep work moving. For a design-heavy phase, we can arrange extra overlap, and agree this with you in advance.

06

What you retain

  • Approval of every person before they start.
  • Direction of priorities through your own backlog and product owner.
  • Ownership of the Appian environments, source objects and documentation.
  • The right to ask for a replacement or to change the size of the team within the notice terms agreed.
  • Control of security, credentials and access to core systems.
07

A scenario for starting small

A public-sector agency with two live Appian applications might need one developer to clear a defect backlog and an architect for a few days a month to review designs ahead of a third application. Both can start as augmentation. If the third application becomes a formal project, the team can transition to a project-based arrangement with written acceptance criteria.

Common questions

We can provide solution architects, Appian developers, integration engineers, business analysts, test analysts and release leads. Many teams combine a senior architect with several developers and a shared analyst or tester. If you need something more specialised, tell us and we will confirm honestly whether we can staff it.

You describe the role, the application work and the duration. We propose assessed candidates, you interview and approve them, and they start on your backlog. The engagement may be project-based, a dedicated team, staff augmentation or time and materials, with regular reviews and a named Renvric contact.

We screen against a written role profile, hold a technical discussion on practical design choices, set a design or review exercise for senior roles and check communication with business users. We do not claim certifications for individuals, and you can ask about specific experience before interviewing.

Yes. Many clients start with one developer or architect, review after a few weeks, and then add people or move to a dedicated team as the roadmap grows. The contract sets out notice terms for increasing or reducing the team.

We agree an overlap window between your hours and the team in San Diego or Punjab for stand-ups, design questions and demonstrations. Work outside that window is documented for handover. We use your existing chat, ticketing and repository tools, so reporting is not duplicated.
