Mendix Staffing
Mendix developers, architects, testers and delivery leads who join your team or form a dedicated one, assessed on real modelling work rather than keywords on a CV. You set priorities and review the output; Renvric handles sourcing, onboarding support and continuity.

Ways to engage
A project-based team is often the simplest route: we take responsibility for a defined outcome and staff it accordingly. A dedicated development team suits an ongoing roadmap, with a stable group that learns your domain. Staff augmentation adds individuals to a team you manage, and time-and-materials arrangements suit work whose scope cannot be fixed yet. You can compare them in our engagement model guide.
How candidates are assessed
- A review of past Mendix work, looking at the kinds of applications, team sizes and responsibilities described.
- A practical exercise in Studio Pro, such as shaping a domain model and writing a microflow with error handling.
- A design discussion on performance, security rules, integration choices and when to avoid custom Java.
- Communication checks, including how clearly the person explains trade-offs to a non-technical colleague.
- Optional client interviews before anyone starts, so you meet the person you are engaging.
Share the outcome you need and Renvric will recommend the smallest useful next step.
Onboarding
The first two weeks are used well when access is ready on day one: source project, Mendix Portal permissions, ticketing, repositories and the coding standards your team follows. We ask for a short orientation on the domain and the architecture, a named buddy on your side and a first small task that exercises the full path to a release. Gaps found then are cheaper to fix than gaps found in month three.
Working across San Diego and Punjab
Renvric has offices in San Diego, USA and Punjab, India, and the time difference is large. In practice this means a small window of live overlap for stand-ups and decisions, with the rest of the day handled through written updates, clear tickets and recorded demonstrations. We agree the overlap hours, escalation route and meeting rhythm in advance, and can adjust working hours for the people involved where it helps your team.
What you control
- Priorities, backlog and acceptance of delivered work.
- Access levels, environments and security policies applied to everyone on the team.
- Team size, with the ability to scale up or down on agreed notice.
- Coding standards and review rules, which Renvric staff follow.
- Who joins, because you can interview and decline a proposed person.
- Ownership of all code, models and documentation produced.
A worked scenario
For example, an internal IT team has two Mendix developers and a growing backlog. They might add one senior developer first to raise review quality and mentor, then a tester once releases become frequent. Starting with one person limits risk and shows how well the working arrangement suits both sides before the team grows.
Common questions
What Mendix roles can Renvric provide?
We can propose developers, senior developers or technical leads, solution architects, testers, business analyst support and delivery leads. If you need a mix, such as an architect for design and developers for build, we can staff them as a single team with one point of contact.
How does Mendix staffing work?
You describe the roles, skills and duration; we propose suitable people; you interview them if you wish; and they start under an agreed model, such as project-based, dedicated team or staff augmentation. You set priorities and review the work, while Renvric manages sourcing, continuity and replacement if a person is unavailable.
How are Mendix professionals assessed?
We aim to review prior Mendix work, set a practical Studio Pro exercise, hold a design discussion on performance, security and integrations, and check communication. We tailor this to the role, so an architect is assessed differently from a tester. You can add your own technical interview.
Can we start with one person and scale?
Yes. Starting with a single developer or lead is a common way to test the working relationship. Once priorities and onboarding are proven, you can add people in steps, agreeing notice periods for increases and reductions in advance so that changes stay orderly.
How do time zones and communication work?
San Diego and Punjab are far apart, so we agree a window of overlap for daily stand-ups and decisions, and use written updates, well-formed tickets and recorded demos for the remainder. Escalation contacts and meeting cadence are set at the start, and we revisit them if the arrangement needs adjusting.
